Jennell Evans, M.A.
Jennell Evans, President and CEO, has over 25 years experience working with organizations in a variety of roles. In addition to her leadership role at SI, Jennell provides organizational development and training consulting services to clients. Jennell's expertise combines a decade of designing workplace environments with developing effective communication strategies and processes, improving individual, group and organizational performance. Jennell is qualified in MBTI and the Emotional Competency Inventory (EQ) and has worked with SI clients such as AOL, Ann Taylor Inc., Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte & Touche, Discovery Communications, Lockheed Martin, Special Olympics, Trimble, Tyco International, and many others. She is a Leadership Fairfax Class of 2000 graduate and serves on Leadership Fairfax's Board of Directors. Jennell is also the recipient of the Leadership Fairfax 2004 Torchbearer Award, which is awarded to one Leadership Fairfax graduate per year in recognition of outstanding volunteer efforts. Jennell also serves on the Reston Center Advisory Board of Marymount University. She received her Master's Degree in Organizational Development and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from Marymount University, and her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.


David F. Swink, M.A.
David F. Swink is Chief Creative Officer of Strategic Interactions, Inc. David’s work has been featured by national news media including, “60 Minutes,” The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. David spearheads the design of Strategic Interactions, Inc. projects. He helped pioneer the use of Interactive Behavioral Simulations® over 25 years ago. Formerly, he was the Director of the National Institute of Mental Health Training Program in Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy and is past President of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama. David is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a former faculty member of Catholic University. Receiving both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees at East Carolina University, David is a recipient of The East Carolina University “Outstanding Alumnus” Award.


M.E. Hart, Attorney-at-Law
M.E. Hart, Vice President of Organizational Performance, combines his unique blend of training experience with his expertise as an attorney and professional actor, designing and delivering programs for Strategic Interactions, Inc. that are unmatched in the adult-learning field. Hart’s background in EEO law gives him an understanding of the complex legal aspects underlying many of SI’s programs, like Preventing Sexual Harassment and Diversity. As Vice President of Organizational Performance, Hart ensures the legal integrity of SI’s programs. He is also a certified coach in the Emotional Competency Inventory (EQ) and is qualified in MBTI, FIRO-B and other assessment inventories. Hart received his Bachelor’s Degree in Russian Language and his Law Degree from University of Kentucky. Hart received a CPD Certificate in Senior Executive Leadership from Georgetown University. Prior to joining SI, he worked as an attorney and educational producer at the Federal Judicial Center. He has also worked as an EEO investigator with the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and was an actor with Arena Stage for 6 years. Hart has worked with SI Clients including Cablevision, PBS, Ann Taylor, Freddie Mac, Deloitte & Touche and many more.

Barry Spodak, M.S.W.
For nearly 30 years Barry Spodak has served as a training consultant to the nation's elite law enforcement agencies in the fields of threat assessment, protective intelligence, hostage negotiation and the prevention of school violence. Drawing on 25 years of service as a clinical specialist at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC, Spodak has been in the forefront of designing and leading real-time interactive behavioral simulations® that allow threat assessment investigators to perfect their skills in protective intelligence investigations and conflict management. He currently serves as a trainer to the U.S. Secret Service, F.B.I., U.S. Marshals Service and the U.S. Capitol Police, the four premier agencies involved in threat assessment and protective intelligence. In addition, his training models have been used by the U.S. State Department, the National Threat Assessment Center, the NSA and the CIA as well as many of the country's leading corporations. In the wake of the shooting at Columbine High School, Spodak was a member of the select training team assembled by the National Threat Assessment Center and the Department of Education to train school officials in strategies to prevent school violence. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the National Center for Judicial Security and his work has been featured on “60 Minutes”, “Nightline”, CNN, MSNBC and “All Things Considered.”

Charlyne “Chuck” Miller, M.S.
In the course of 25 years of management, leadership and executive development experience, Charlyne Miller has worked with thousands of individuals worldwide, from new, emerging supervisors to CEO's of major corporations, enhancing and developing skills and strategies to increase effectiveness and impact. A combination of interpersonal skills plus insightful understanding of workplace challenges and human behavior enables her to work with clients from a wide variety of organizations, such as Orbital Sciences, Booz Allen Hamilton, Discovery Communications, Turner Broadcasting, AOL, Deloitte & Touche, American Chemical Association, and The Nature Conservancy, to name a few. Charlyne specifically focuses on the practical applications of leadership, such as building strategic relationships, managing change and transitions, leveraging diversity, and building high capacity teams. Formerly, Charlyne served as Senior Advisor of Training and Organizational Effectiveness at Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). She also served on the national training staff of the American Red Cross where she was selected to be 1 of 3 national faculty members of the American Red Cross-National Training Institute. Charlyne completed CTI’s (Coach Training Institute) program and is pursuing certification through the Career Coach Institute. Chuck received both her B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Missouri. Chuck is MBTI qualified and completed the Georgetown University Organizational Development/Change Management Certificate Program.

Alyce Smith-Cooper, R.N., M.A.
Alyce Smith-Cooper is an experienced trainer in the areas of cultural diversity and communication skills. Alyce’s expertise in African American culture and ancestral storytelling are widely requested by companies, schools and organizations. With an M.A. and B.A. in Human Behavior from the United States International University in San Diego, Alyce has worked with many boards and groups within the San Diego, California community, and established herself in a similar capacity in the Washington, D.C. area. In addition to corporate training, she is a registered psychiatric nurse and mental health counselor, actor, poet, minister and ancestral storyteller. Alyce’s work has been featured by The San Diego Union, the Smithsonian Institution Experimental Gallery, the Anacostia Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the D.C. Commission for the Humanities. In January 1992, she was featured during the presidential inauguration activities known as “A Celebration on the Mall.” Alyce is a former associate professor at Palomar College and is a certified psychodramatist.

Ira Orchin, Ph.D.
Ira Orchin is an exceptional trainer and licensed clinical psychologist. He specializes in providing innovative programs to corporations and government agencies in the areas of diversity, conflict resolution, sexual harassment, executive coaching, communication skills, and workplace violence. Ira integrates his expertise in individual and group dynamics with his background in psychology and psychodrama to provide highly effective and experiential training courses. He has worked in 17 countries for many organizations, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., Freddie Mac, Cablevision, Orbital and more. He received his B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University, his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Hahnemann University, and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Ira has also served on the faculties of Hahnemann University and Immaculata College.

Marsha Stein, M.S.W.
Marsha Stein incorporates 25 years of experience as a successful behavioral scientist into her design and delivery of innovative programs. She specializes in preventing workplace violence, sexual harassment and diversity training. Marsha completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at The George Washington University, and her M.S.W. at Catholic University. She is a former faculty member at Catholic University, a licensed clinical social worker, and a certified trainer of psychodrama. Marsha has worked with a wide variety of clients that include Ann Taylor, Discovery Communications, the U.S. Secret Service, and more.

Sam Bryant
Sam Bryant is an experienced trainer with over 25 years of experience in the field of education. He specializes in the delivery of training programs in the areas of preventing workplace violence, conflict resolution, and diversity. He has worked extensively in the field of violence prevention, working as the director of violence and victims assistance programs in Brooklyn, New York. Sam has worked with numerous clients including Continental Airlines, Proctor and Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Cablevision, Ann Taylor, the Social Security Administration and more. He is a graduate of Tufts University.

Kerry Paul Altman, Ph.D.
Kerry Altman has over 20 years experience as a trainer and consultant, specializing in delivering innovative development programs to corporations and government agencies in the areas of conflict resolution, violence prevention, threat assessment and behavioral sciences. Kerry completed his undergraduate work in Psychology at The American University, and his graduate work at the California School of Professional Psychology. Kerry integrates his expertise in leading edge communication strategies with his background in psychology and psychodrama to provide effective training courses. He has worked with numerous clients including the U.S. Secret Service, Newbridge Networks, Discovery Communications, Booz Allen Hamilton, The U.S. Senate, and more.

Lauren N. Nile, Attorney-at-Law
Lauren Nile is an attorney, experienced trainer and speaker specializing in Diversity and Prevention of Sexual Harassment. Lauren has conducted training and consultation for the White House, Texaco and many other Fortune 500 corporations. At the request of the U.S. Information Service, Lauren traveled to Jordan and Gaza to speak with members of the press, university groups and Palestinian women’s groups on issues of cultural and gender diversity in the American workplace. She co-founded the New England consortium of Black Admissions counselors. She worked as a specialist in the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare and served as Chief of CETA Affirmative Action Compliance for the State of New York. Lauren also served as Staff Attorney for the Women’s Equity Action League in Washington, D.C. Lauren completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Orleans, her graduate degree at the University of Connecticut, and her law degree at Cornell Law School.

Major Robert R. Beach
A Strategic Interactions, Inc. Senior Consultant, Bob has been an active law enforcement officer for the last 28 years. Bob brings his training, knowledge and street experience to the workshops he conducts on crisis management, critical incident training, workplace violence and hostage negotiations. Bob is currently a Major with Fairfax County Police and is director of the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Training Academy. He is also the commander of the department’s hostage negotiation unit. Bob has completed a prestigious residency program at the FBI National Academy and he is internationally known as an instructor and consultant in preventing and managing violent situations.

M.J. Vilardi
M.J.'s award-winning skills in writing, producing, and directing results-driven educational films give him a unique ability to translate SI's client needs into real world, simulation-based performance improvement workshops. M.J.'s strong storytelling ability allows him to present new learning concepts that merge strategy with creativity. M.J.'s 15 years of management experience in the multi-media field give him a realistic perspective on the challenges that employees, managers, and executives face in today's business market. His skills were honed at Henninger Capitol where, as Creative Director, he worked with high-profile clients like The Discovery Channel, the CIA, and General Electric to produce dazzling animation and image campaigns. M.J.'s education and training in communications, combined with his MBTI Qualification, enable him to be a valuable contributor to SI's teaching teams with clients such as Navy Federal Credit Union, National Association of Home Builders, Time Warner Cable and more.

Diane Long
Diane Long is Strategic Interactions’ Client Service Manager and oversees the administration of all client engagements. Diane brings international experience having worked for over ten years with the Alliance Francaise USA, a Franco-American educational organization in Washington, DC. Diane also worked in France with the Paris Chamber of Commerce, as well as the French Legation Museum in Austin, Texas. Diane’s previous work with various Boards of Directors and chapter members brings invaluable experience to her role of managing services for SI clients. Diane is actively involved in her community, including Wolftrap Elementary School’s PTA. Diane received a B.A. in French and Business from Franklin & Marshall College.
